Overview

Simpl is a Chrome extension that helps hide distracting page elements and reduce ads while browsing. It also includes extra cleanup tools for YouTube.

What Simpl stores

Simpl stores settings on your device using Chrome extension storage. This can include hidden element rules, filter settings, page titles, page URLs, timestamps, and short labels from elements you choose to hide.

This data is used only so Simpl can remember what you hid and keep the extension working the way you set it up.

What Simpl does not do

• Simpl does not sell user data.
• Simpl does not transfer user data to third parties.
• Simpl does not use user data for ads or credit decisions.
• Simpl does not require an account or sign-in.

Remote code

Simpl does not load or run remote JavaScript or WebAssembly. Its extension code is packaged with the extension. Filter data is bundled into local extension files.

Third-party filter lists

Simpl includes bundled rules based on community filter lists such as EasyList, AdGuard Filters, and uBlock Origin uAssets. These lists are used for filtering and are not used to collect personal information.
